Hi cowsarecool,

I am writing a tool to force Cyberlink live add the webcam to it support list if your webcam is current not supported by webcam module, you can try it later. But something should be notified is that the cam added to the support list have not been tested. (Of course... or you don't need this tool.) I can't guarantee it 100% work.

thanks,

but im not exactly understanding 100%. your writing a tool to force c-l-l to add more web cams to the support list, but whats this about testing and then not needing the tool??? if you could just add a bit of punctuation that might help, but thank you a lot

cowsarecool

p.s. i think what your trying to say is that all the cams they added to the support list have not been tested, but that makes no sense, otherwise they wouldn't have a list telling ppl what works or not.

thanks
Eric

Currently, the Cyberlink live's webcam module only support the webcam that provide a standard interface called "IAMCameraControl", this is a standard interface defined by Microsoft.

If your webcam doesn't support this interface, the webcam module will ignore it. That why you can't used you webcam in the cyberlink live. But in most time, a webcam without this interface can work well.

The webcam module provide a method to support a webcam that doesn't implement this interface through a XML file. But the content of that XML need a name that is created by directshow framework.

I am writing a tool. This tool can let you to choose your webcam and add it into the XML file. Than the webcam module can recognize your webcam.
Then your webcam should work.

But it doesn't full tested by QA so it may have some problem. It also possible work fine without any problem. That what I mean. Because they are not tested, I can't promise it work without any problem.
