Because the first purpose of the Cyberlink Live TV is to provide a new way for the person who wants to watch TV program thorough internet, every video stream pass trhough Cyberlink live will do some transcoding process to reduce the usage of the bandwidth. Sometime the bandwidth criteria used by the program may not fit your request. I provide a tip here for the user who want to setup the encoding bitrate or video quality.
What the potential issue is if you set a not so good bitrate to you network environment. You may slowdown you streaming speed and can't see anything trhough the network. Here is the tip to modify the video quality.
in XP
find the file "CyberLinkLive.ini" under folder "Documents and Settings >> All Users >> Application Data >> CyberLink >>CyberLink Live "
find the section : [TVService]
change Bitrate from zero to your target bitrate value then restart your cyberlink live service , after you restart the Cyberlink live service. The Cyberlink live will apply your new
ini setting.
You can also find some samples near that section.
